Classes are on Tuesday evenings, November 3rd, 10th, 17th and December 1st, from 6pm-7:30pm. There is no class the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eMaterials\u003c\/span\u003e:\u003cbr\u003e- Pattern is provided at first class.\u003cbr\u003e- Worsted weight yarn in three colors. Red (~60 grams), Green (~35 grams), White (~25 grams)\u003cbr\u003ePlease feel free to go off-script color-wise!\u003cbr\u003e- You will also need a couple yards of an “eye color”, also in worsted.\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e- US 5 - 3.75mm (or size to obtain gauge) needles for knitting in the round in your preferred method: 16\" circular needle, double-pointed needles, or 40” circular needle for magic loop \u003cbr\u003e- Tapestry needle\u003cbr\u003e- Stitch markers\u003cbr\u003e- Jingle bells will be provided!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eClass fee does not include supplies. Swatching in the round is preferable but not critical. She knit matching, personalized stockings for every member of her family. When her children had kids (me included), we each got hand knit stockings, too. After Ginny’s passing in the late 70s, my mother and father picked up the tradition, re-knitting socks lost to theft and then knitting socks for their grandchildren and grandnieces\/nephews. Now it is my turn, and I’d like it to be yours as well! I don’t know if Ginny got the pattern out of a magazine, if it was shared with her, or if she wrote it herself. All I know is, I got a very faded copy of the Santa chart with BRIEF pencil notes along the margin. You will receive an updated pattern with not-quite-so-brief instructions and charted Santa and lettering.
