Knitting 201: Rye Sock

***Class sessions will be held inside. Masks are welcome but not required during this class.***

Are you interested in making socks, but don’t want to go it alone? This is the class for you! This three-class series, walks you through making a cozy pair of worsted weight socks.

Following the Rye pattern, by Tin Can Knits, you'll learn:

  • basic sock structure
  • pattern reading
  • how to turn a heel
  • how to work the gusset
  • picking up stitches
  • the Kitchener finishing stitch

It's also a great opportunity to learn or practice knitting in the round.

You should already be comfortable with the basics - casting on, knitting, purling - at a minimum. We will not be going over these skills in this class.

Class fee does not include supplies. Registered students receive a 10% discount on supplies for the class.

Please note: Classes are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled or rescheduled. Please sign up for classes you know you can attend.
