Description

Beginner Embroidery with Rosanna Diggs, featuring Textile Tattoo design sets
Want to learn to embroider your clothing? Embellish your wardrobe with our Textile Tattoos. No experience necessary.

These are stick and stitch embroidery patterns designed by local tattoo artist, Paige Anderez. In this two-hour workshop we will learn how to start your project in the hoop, discuss design placement, learn and practice 5-8 stitches, and demonstrate how to remove Sulky Solvy from the material. Your project will not be completed in class. Our goal is to build your confidence so you feel comfortable stitching on woven clothing.

All materials are covered in the class cost, including 1 set of Textile Tattoos, 1 fat quarter of fabric, 14” hoop, 2 needles, and 5 skeins of embroidery floss.

Stitches We Will Likely Learn:
Back Stitch
Couching Stitch
Fly Stitch
Peking Knot
Reverse Chain Stitch
Seed Stitch
Split Stitch
Straight Stitch

You can bring a woven garment to class if you want to stitch on it (think cotton, linen, lightweight denim) but this is optional – we will have fabric to practice on.
No experience necessary.
No homework required.
