Technique Tuesday: Cast-On/Bind-Off

Build your skill set and grow your confidence with Technique Tuesdays! These are short sessions where we’ll cover select techniques without any specific project involved. They are a great way to learn or get a little more practice at those little things everyone needs to know.

Cast-On/Bind-Off: In this class, we’ll go over several different cast-ons and bind-offs. We’ll talk about why and when you might use different ones, as well as options for adjusting when your cast-on or bind-off is too tight or too loose. 

Prerequisites: You should be comfortable with the basics (at least one cast on, knit, purl, at least one bind off) at minimum, and be prepared to work multiple rows during class.

Homework: none

What to bring: a worsted or DK weight yarn and appropriate needles for your yarn, as well as one or two needle sizes bigger and smaller than your primary needles.
