Giving to Good Causes

At Seattle Yarn, community means everything to us, and we try to do our part to make our community better. When you support our small business, you help us do more, and we are so grateful for that!

QUARTERLY DONATION

As of 2025, we will donate 1% of our net proceeds (sales, minus fees and taxes) quarterly to a non-profit, mutual aid, or charitable organization that is doing good work locally or nationally. We are looking into creating an optional add-on or round-up donation opportunity for customers as well, but that is not implemented yet. 

For the first quarter of 2025, we chose to direct donations to Lambda Legal. 

For the second quarter of 2025, we have chosen to support the ACLU. The ACLU is in the courts and community, working to defend immigrant rights, trans justice, reproductive freedom, and more. This is work we believe to be particularly critical in this moment, and we are proud to support them. We encourage you to learn more about what the ACLU does, and to support them further if you can.
