Course & Wale Fine Tea - Green Tea
Description
Jasmine - This classic from the Fujian province is a delight for the senses. With a refreshing flavor and a warm, medium light color enhanced with jasmine flowers, it is as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palette. Enjoy it for a moment of calm anytime of day.
Recommended Steep: 2–3 minutes with hot water around 80–85°C (176–185°F).
2 minutes: Produces a light, subtle cup with soft jasmine aroma and a mild green tea base.
3 minutes: Provides a slightly fuller flavor and stronger floral fragrance, but may start to bring out the green tea’s natural astringency.
If you enjoy a milder floral taste, go with a shorter steep, as jasmine tea can become slightly bitter if oversteeped. Enjoy your fragrant cup!
Sencha - A mild green tea with a slightly tart, refreshing taste. When brewed, it has a light, yellow-green cup color. A part of Japanese culture since the 17th Century, it is perfect for a good start to an active day.
Recommended steep: 1–2 minutes in water around 70–80°C (158–176°F).
1 minute: Delivers a light, smooth, and slightly sweet cup with fresh, grassy flavors.
2 minutes: Results in a fuller-bodied cup with a more pronounced vegetal flavor, but it may start to introduce mild astringency.
Sencha can become bitter if steeped too long or in overly hot water, so aim for this gentle range for the best flavor. Enjoy the fresh and vibrant character of sencha!
