Destiny’s sweater workshop is back!

You've wanted to make sweaters, but it's all a bit overwhelming? This is the class for you. Join us for this sweater workshop, we will learn by knitting The Simple Sweater, by Tin Can Knits. This is a top-down yoke sweater; it is a great one for folks who are either making their first sweater or their first yoke-style sweater. This pattern is sized from newborn to adult 6XL, so there are lots of options.

The Simple Sweater does not have any patterning in the yoke, and looks great in a solid, tweed, or hand-dyed semi-solid; however, adding stripes to the yoke, or even to the sleeves is also pretty easy and fun! Once you've got a yoke under your belt, you will be ready to make any number of variations - colorwork, lace, cables, and more...

Skills we will work on together in this class will include: measurement and sizing, swatching, adjusting for gauge if needed, understanding the yoke structure, modifying for your size, separating for sleeves, picking up stitches, and finishing. You'll come away from the class with confidence and a new sweater!

Class cost does not include supplies. There is a 10% discount on any supplies (including yarn) for the class. We recommend a DK or worsted weight yarn for your sweater for this class. Please get in touch if you would like advice on yarn choice/quantity, or if we can help you with a special order!
Please buy the pattern directly from the designer. You can find it using the link above, or go to tincanknits.com

Please note: Classes are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled or rescheduled. Please sign up for classes you know you can attend.
